After bottling the Sloe Gin/Vodka, I had a bowl full of macerated sloes; fruit still thick with flavour, and soaked (this time) in vodka? Seemed a shame to throw them away.
I am trying this – Sloe Sherry. Google throws up other options, but this looks best.
- Half fill 2 x 0.75l Kilner jars with the vodka-sodden sloes, add ½ cup sugar, and top up with medium sherry. Seal and shake daily for at least 6 weeks, longer if you can. Strain through muslin, and bottle.
